A. yup . . . more
often than you'd believe!
Q. why did you
choose to live in caux?
A. truthfully, we
didn't. we came across the church house back in 2001,
and loved it so much that we didn't even notice or care
what the village was like. luckily for us, caux ended up
being a lovely, friendly place. and so when the b&b
came up for sale just around the corner from our home,
we snapped it up!
Q. is running the
b&b your only job?
A. actually, no. in
addition to the stone house, we both have full-time jobs.
yes, really! michael is a freelance copywriter and
journalist, and mark runs a company that provides
specialist training for criminal justice professionals.
Q. are you wearing
. . . slippers?
A. actually, yes!
and they are awesome. they come from a place called the
celtic sheepskin company (www.celtic-sheepskin.co.uk), and they are
super. our friends helly and alex recommended them, and
we have been wearing them ever since!
Q. what's the best
part of running a b&b?
A. without a doubt,
it is meeting the guests. people visit us from all over the
world and from very different backgrounds - it certainly
makes for an interesting life.
Q. what's the worst
part?
A. white tile
floors. and a dog. bad combination!
